Ice Fishing in Lesser Slave Lake Region
For many Albertans, winter is a time to bundle up and shut out the rest of the world waiting for the warm weather to return, but for true outdoorsmen, winter is a new opportunity to experience Alberta's fabulous north country. One of the most traveled areas of the province in winter is the area surrounding Lesser Slave Lake where ice-fishing is the sport of choice once the cold weather arrives and the snow flies. Come and experience the thrill of catching Walleye, Perch, Burbot, Northern Pike and Whitefish through a meter or more of ice. Huts are available to rent from December to March.
